Other times you'll need the character to be standing in a puddle of blood, and Blessing the blood will cure them. Try casting Bless on them and sometimes the fire will go out. This is a form of fire that normal water can't extinguish. Bless the object to remove the curse and make the item safe. You can usually tell because there will be a black fog on or around them.
